6. Contacts
The contacts list can hold up to 500 contacts with multiple numbers and text notes
for each contact. The amount of numbers and text entries that you can save may
vary, depending on length and the total number of entries in the contacts list.

—Assign voice commands to phone numbers.

—Show the current number assigned to the phone.
Delete all contacts
—Delete all contacts on your phone.
For quick access to your contacts, scroll up or down while in the standby mode.

Insert dialing codes
Insert special characters called dialing codes into phone numbers such as voice
mail, and save the number to a
1-touch dialing
location. Dialing codes instruct
the receiving system to pause, wait, bypass, or accept the numbers that follow
them in the dialing string.
Automate voice mail with dialing codes. For more information, see "Automate
voice mail," p. 34.
Press * repeatedly to cycle through dialing codes. When the desired code is
displayed, pause briefly, and the code is inserted into the dialing string.
The following dialing codes are available:
Dialing code

Bypasses a set of instructions.
+
Causes the international access code to be replaced by +.
p
Pauses for 2.5 seconds before sending any numbers that follow.
w
Waits for you to press the call key before sending the numbers
or codes that follow.

Save multiple numbers
You can save different types of phone numbers per contact. The first number you
save for any entry is automatically set as the default, but the default number can
always be changed.
1. Scroll down to display your list of contacts.
2. Select the contact to which you want to add a phone number.

■ Set up caller groups

You can create a new caller group and store a list of contacts in the group.

■ Set up voice tags
Before using voice tags, note the following:
•
Voice tags are not language-dependent. They are dependent on the speaker's voice.
•
You must say the name exactly as you said it when you recorded it.

Voice tags are sensitive to background noise. Record voice tags, and use them
in a quiet environment.
•
Very short names are not accepted. Use long names, and avoid similar names
for different numbers.
Note: Using voice tags may be difficult in a noisy environment or during
an emergency, so you should not rely solely upon voice dialing in all
circumstances.
Assign a voice tag
1. Scroll down to your list of contacts.
2. Scroll to a contact, and select
Details
.
3. Scroll to the number you want to assign a voice tag, and select
Options
>
Add voice tag
.
4. Select
Start
, then speak clearly into the microphone. Do not select
Quit
unless you want to cancel the recording.
After you finish speaking, the phone automatically stops recording, saves,
and replays the voice tag.

Use a voice tag

3. Pronounce the voice tag clearly into the microphone.
When the phone finds the voice tag, a notification appears, and the phone
